  • Ansatte
  • Senioradvokater

Mathias Thorshaug Rengård works in several legal disciplines, but has his main focus within tort law and family, inheritance and probate law. He has a significant number of procedural assignments for the court.

Mathias works a lot with cases involving children, and assists many parents in connection with drafting parental cooperation agreements after break-ups and parental disputes before the court. He has special expertise in cases with an international character, where special questions about jurisdiction, choice of law and the use of international conventions arise. Typically, these are child abduction cases, cases where the parents live in different countries and implementation of agreements/decisions across national borders.

Mathias assists with, among other things, inheritance settlement, creation of a will and power of attorney for the future. He also regularly works together with estate administrators for public transfer of deceased estates on behalf of the Oslo District Court. Within tort law, it is personal injury compensation that Mathias works with in particular. He takes on all types of personal injury cases, and is often assigned as a solicitor.
